Thrilled the share “November,” the first single from MA-based indie-folk band Cloudbelly ahead of their full-length record i know i know i know, which drops in Feb, 2024. I produced and played drums on the record, and have since started working full time with the band, so stay tuned for lots more coming from this neck of the woods! Echo Base Breaks // Dots (Vol. 1) Is Out Now!

Unreasonably excited to share my new drum pack, Echo Base Breaks // Dots (Vol. 1), which is available to buy now right here! The pack includes 81 unique beats, 50 fills, and 184 drum samples, and a whole bunch of bad title-puns, all in 5 distinct kit sounds. This was a wonderful chance for me to blur the lines between the producer and session drummer parts of my brain in the hopes of making something that could inspire some new ideas for other music makers out there. To that end, everything in this pack is royalty free, so do with it what you will! All I ask is that if you do end up using anything from the pack in something that you’re planning to release, toss a little shout-out or a credit my way! The "All Costs" Countdown Starts Now!

Upcoming Release: ...And The Sky / "MCO" - Best Mann

The single and the album were both composed, produced, and performed entirely by Nate @ Echo Base Production, recorded at Echo Base and Ghost Hit Recording, mixed by Andrew Oedel @ Ghost Hit, and mastered by Brian Lucey @ Magic Garden Mastering. Echo Base Summer Roundup (Pt. 1)

We’re only halfway through, and EBP’s first summer has already been a busy one! Here’s a quick roundup of some of the things that have been going on with Echo Base over the last two months:

-Recording Emma Ayres: The incomparably wonderful Emma Ayres and I have been having a blast tracking and producing her upcoming EP, “Encyclopedia of the Broken Hearted.” We wrapped basics a few weeks back, and are hitting the finishing production/tracking touches now! Stay tuned for details on that release, and in the meantime, check out some of Emma’s other amazing work here and here (w/ Old Flame)

-Speaking of Old Flame: in case you missed it, we released an album last spring! It’s called Young & In Debt and was produced by myself @ Echo Base, mixed by legit genius Andrew “Sandshrew” Oedel @ Ghost Hit Recording (who also handled the majority of the recording), and mastered by the amazing Andy Cassella of Shape Recording & Sodada fame. And if you haven’t yet (or even if you did back when it dropped), you should give it a listen (or 1000)!

-Speaking of Sodada: I’ve been in the studio doing production and drum work with this wonderful duo working on a batch of new singles that we’re very excited to share! Some pics from those sessions will be popping up in the gallery, and those tunes should be on their way soon! Very excited to share them. While you’re anxiously awaiting, make sure to check Sodada’s recent full length, Phase.

-Last But Not Least…New Studio: A week ago, Echo Base made the big move north-east to a wonderful spot in Shutesbury. Pics to come, but incredibly excited about how the new space is shaping up!

You’re here! Where’s here? Great question! This is Echo Base Production, home of producer/composer/engineer/performer Nate Mondschein (that’s me!), and a great place to keep tabs on news about any upcoming Echo Base projects/productions/musical endeavors (as well as some general hype about musical family and friends of Echo Base and the amazing work they’re doing).
